The British Safety Council has partnered with a new health and safety conference launching in London this summer, in a move aimed at strengthening workplace safety and wellbeing.
The two-day event, Safety Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Live, will take place at the Olympia Exhibition Centre on 18-19 June and is set to be the only dedicated occupational safety and health (OSH) conference for professionals in London and the surrounding areas.
As part of the partnership, the British Safety Council will host its International Safety Awards (ISA) Gala Dinner on the evening of 19 June at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington.
Delegates attending the British Safety Council’s ISA Gala Dinner will receive VIP access to SHW Live, allowing them to attend keynote speeches, panel discussions and networking sessions. The Senior Leaders’ Summit, a new addition to the 2025 event, will also be open to award winners and senior industry professionals.
‘Key Health and Safety Fixture’
British Safety Council Chief Executive Mike Robinson said the collaboration would help bring together key decision-makers in workplace health and safety.
“SHW Live has established itself as a key fixture in the calendar for health, safety and wellbeing professionals and decision-makers, and its new London show only cements that further,” he said.
“We are delighted to be working with the event as a strategic partner, collaborating on content for the show as well as hosting our annual ISA Gala Dinner on the evening of the second day. This enables our award-winners to build a comprehensive conference and networking opportunity into their visit to London in June.
Robinson said delegates could expect a “lively agenda packed with keynotes, panel discussions and expert presentations”, adding that he wanted to see “as many of our members and customers there as possible, especially those who can attend both the show and our awards as VIPs”.
Growing Industry Event
SHW Live has been held twice a year in different UK regions since 2022 and has grown to become a key meeting point for OSH professionals. The London edition will also run alongside Fire Safety Live, expanding the scope of industry discussions.
Tim Else, founder and CEO of What Else Events, which organises SHW Live, said the partnership with the British Safety Council would help enhance the event’s impact.
“SHW Live is London’s premier event for the OSH community. Our partnership with the British Safety Council and alignment with the ISA Awards is central to that commitment.”
What to Expect
The event will bring together leaders, experts and professionals from across the safety, health and wellbeing sectors, offering a programme of industry insights, networking opportunities and specialist exhibitions.
With workplace safety and wellbeing becoming increasingly important for employers, the British Safety Council’s involvement in SHW Live is set to make this a key industry event in 2025.
Registration details for both SHW Live and the International Safety Awards Gala Dinner are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
